The 2RU Pro200 Series Pro5200 Professional Power Amplifier from Crest Audio is a 1700W power rated amplifier. This unit features an extensive protection circuitry which is designed to allow a more efficient operation when working with difficult loads and power conditions. The Automatic Clip Limiting (ACL) circuit is designed to protect drivers, maintain sonic integrity, and ensure trouble-free operation into loads as low as 2Ω. You can select stereo, parallel, or bridged-mono operation modes via the rear panel mode selector switch. The front panel attenuators allow for individual, recessed, stepped gain adjustment for each channel. When operating in the bridged mode, both attenuators must be in the same position so the speaker load will be equally shared between the channels. The Pro5200 uses tunnel-cooled heat sinks and 2 variable-speed DC fans to maintain a lower overall operating temperature which results in a longer output transistor life. This amplifier features Crest Audio's Power Density circuitry and packaging. It also features AutoRamp circuitry, which raises the signal level gradually after the output relay closes. This will prevent speaker damage if there is a high signal level at the inputs. The Pro5200 power amplifier features ACL, DC, Temp, Signal, and Active safeguards, all referenced on the front panel with LED indicators.
